Founded in California in 1974 by WWII Veteran Joseph C Garcia and Teresa Garcia. the restaurant concept is to provide good quality food, quick service and reasonable prices. In 1977, they moved the Restaurant to Mesa, Arizona, where they remained until 1987. The pepe's menu consists of items that are prepared to order and all of the recipes are those of Teresa Garcia. Mrs. Garcia was born and raised in the area of Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico. What makes Pepe’s unique, is the use of lean shredded beef in their dishes. The pepe's signature sauces are all prepared daily at the Restaurant from scratch, as are the unique salsas available. Our delicious Tamales are made by hand at the Restaurant using only use quality ingredients.
